Our Programs
Community Mental Health Campaigns
- M-CAN provides mental health screening for community organizations, faith communities, schools and other community groups.
- We provide mental health screenings at community health fairs and has participated in events such as the Caribbean Health Summit and the "Take Your Love one to the Doctor" health screening event.
Substance Abuse Education
- M-CAN provides substance use prevention and treatment workshops to inform the community about the problems and possible solutions to substance abuse issues.
- A major M-CAN effort is the celebration of National Alcohol and Drug Recovery Month in September each year. Our premier event during this month is the Annual Recovery Walk, Run , "Step In the Name of Love". The event brings together hundreds of individuals in recovery, friends, family and participants from all over Central Florida.
